Milestones – Los Angeles Dance will honor excellence in Los
Angeles concert dance by presenting the winners of the coveted Lester Horton
Dance Awards for the twelve categories voted on by the Membership of the DRC
for the year 2006, offer live performances and pay tribute to the DRC four
Special Awardees:
Lifetime Achievement – Andrei Tremaine
Gary Bates Service To The Field - Allegra Fuller Snyder
Excellence in Teaching - Alfred Desio
Furthering The Visibility Of Dance - Ann Haskins
Live performances by: The Colburn Dance Institute (under the
direction of Glenn Edgerton and Leslie Carothers Aroma), Lux Aeterna with
Kujo- the break-dancing iconoclast, contra-tiempo –urban salsa, Channing
Cook Holmes -in a very special tap tribute to Alfred Desio, Media City
Ballet and internationally renowned Diavolo Dance Theatre.
Milestones – Los Angeles Dance will also salute the enduring legacy
of Los Angeles concert dance by honoring Greater Los Angeles dance companies
that have sustained 25 years or more of continuous professional
participation in: performance, leadership and service to the Los Angeles
community.

musicians, lighting designers and costume designers in Los Angeles to
